Dear Friends,

Well last year was fairly hectic and now all I’m doing is relaxing, reading, playing on my computer and getting dragged outside by my little sister. My end of year results were good, English, Maths, Science, Tech, L.O.T.E (Japanese), S.O.S.E (Studies of Society and the Environment or something like that) and Art were all A’s and HPE (Health and Physical education) was a C. All of my results this year were good with overall 25 A’s, 6 B’s, 1 C and no D’s or U’s (F’s). Pretty good for my first year at highschool.

I’ve got a break from Surf Lifesaving at the moment, but we go back on the 12th and then have two carnivals before school starts and then one before the State Titles which are on the 2nd and 3rd of March at Moana, which is only about 5-10 minutes away!! I did the Long Swim (Southport to Pt Noarlunga which is over a kilometre!) and came 31st out of 45, pretty good for me!

I had a good Christmas at my aunt’s up in Kensington Gardens. The aunt, uncle and cousin are actually the ones who were living overseas but they returned for good in November! It was great as my cousin is just two, can walk, talk and is adorable!! I received a ton of presents including the 4 Harry Potter books (I’m a huge fan), a make-up kit, artset, So Fresh (green and then later I got the yellow one), make-up kit, some videos and heaps of other stuff. Overall it was a good Christmas, especially since I got to see almost all of my aunts and uncles.

New Year was pretty boring, I stated up until midnight but that was it. I also discovered that my cousin, her husband and their four kids have returned to America!! They hadn’t even told us! They’ll be there for a while I think. I’m hoping to see the rest of my cousins sometime soon!

In my last letter I ended with stuff about the SHIP program and never updated so I’ll update now.

I didn’t get into the SHIP program, and neither did my friend but I DID get into the netball team, A! We went away to Yorketown for a week and I had a blast. I stayed on a farm and it was great. We got to go on the tractor, catch lambs and we also spent a lot of time on 64 and Playstation. The girl I stayed with had 1 sister (older) and two younger brothers. Her little brother (5 or 6) was so cute and really funny. Another girl stayed at the same house with me as well so that made it even more fun. We lost all of our games (I think) but one, which was a draw! When they returned I had the girl I stayed with and another girl stay with me for a week. It was pretty good.

Well there’s not much else to say really so I’ll sign off.

Bye

Nic!
