I have decided not to have a list of records Ian Thorpe holds or has broken here as the info needed was very hard to find so I will just state facts.
Ian Thorpe is Australia's most successful world record holder as he holds 15 world records, one more than Dawn Fraser.
Ian Thorpe has broken the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle and 800m freestyle numerous times.
Ian Thorpe has also been apart of many teams that have broken world records e.g. 4 x 200m freestyle relay, Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Ian Thorpe also holds numerous Commonwealth, Championship, Olympic and World records.
