RACHEL
Rachel is a tough girl full of courage and always ready to fight or as she says "Let's kick some Yeerk butt!" Every time before she goes into a fight she says "Let's do it," But underneath her front she is just like the others although she is the only one who actually likes a good fight. But she is scared of things, but she covers everything up and very rarely muses over emotions or shows emotions. She is smart, adventurous and often headstrong. She is also sometimes bossy but rarely contradicts Jake or tries to take over. She knows she wouldn't make a good leader as she's to violent sometimes and accepts it. Her best trait is her practically unlimited supply of courage.
Her nicknames are 'Xena, Warrior Princess' and 'Ms Fashion.' 'Xena, Warrior Princess' is one that Marco made because of her courage and willingness to fight. 'Ms Fashion' comes from the fact that she always is up to date with the fashion and loves shopping (it's her fav hobby). She's not stuck-up but she is pretty with long blonde hair and blue eyes, and always is wearing the right clothes. Most people who see her in the mall would just think 'Oh there's another wimpy airhead who could be a model' but pity anyone who says that to Rachel. If someone said that about Rachel to her she'd probably morph something huge and crush them or maybe eat them. She is the kind of person who always seems to have a spotlight on her. She always seems unaffected by things around her as if she didn't care. Like I said nothing seemed to affect her, apart from the war. It stirred a darkness inside her and it seemed like she found her place in the world, a warrior. She changed alot during the three years they fought and she knew it.
Her hobbies are mainly shopping (mentioned early) and gymnastics. She is too tall to ever do any good in gymnastics but she does it for enjoyment and she loves it. She especially likes the vault but is not at all fond of the beam.
She lives with her mother, Naomi, who's a lawyer and was always busy. Because of this she could often sneak in and out of the house for missions. Her parents are divorced and her Dad, Dan, who's a news reporter, moved away to another part of America. She has two younger sisters who both live with her, Jordan and Sara. Jake, her fellow Animorph, is her cousin.
Her best friend is Cassie and her 'boyfriend' is Tobias, the boy trapped as a bird. They have gone to dances and kissed but it is a bit hard since he is a human stuck in bird morph and she is a human girl. One thing Rachel can't understand is why Tobias will not return to human form permanently. Tobias chooses to stay as a hawk so he can continue to fight the Yeerks.
Her specialty morphs and favourite morphs are the grizzly bear because of it's brute strength and the African elephant because of it's size. She also enjoys flying as a bald eagle with Tobias. Like the others she is not favourite of insects. She is not fond of shrews either because she was almost eaten by a cat when she was in that morph.
She wants to become a gymnast but she doesn't think she would ever be very good because of her height. She would be a good model though.
